Both year 6 classes were set the challenge of designing and constructing a model of a communication tower. Their tower had to have the following characteristics:

Stable- it must be able to support itself without toppling

Strong- it must be able to support a 2kg weight hanging from its highest point

Tall- the tower must be at least 1m tall

Cost effective- it must use the least amount of resources 

They had great fun although not all groups produced a successful tower.
