This week, we have been learning the story of The Little Red Hen. Working together, we baked bread.

First, we weighed the flour.

Then we added yeast and salt to the flour.

Next, we made a well in the centre and added the oil and the water.

Then, with a wooden spoon, we mixed the ingredients together to make a dough.

After mixing the ingredients together to form a dough, we put it onto a board and kneaded it until it was smooth.

We put the dough back into the bowl, covered it and waited for it to rise: get bigger. 

Next, we put it onto a tray and Mrs Ashman put it into the hot oven to bake.

Finally, when it was cool, the bread was cut. We put a choice of toppings on it and ate it. The bread tasted delicious.
