Reading Champions

These are our current Reading Champions from Y5 and 6:

They open and run the library at lunch times for Y3-6. This involves signing books in and out, supporting students to find books, tidying the shelves and putting away returned books.

Reading Hub opening in September 2025

With lots of behind the scenes work happening over the holiday period.

Our Visit to Monteagle Primary in June 2024

 

We had the opportunity to meet another group of Reading Champions at Monteagle Primary who shared some of the work they have been doing. We loved some of their ideas so much that we're giving a few of them a try: reading assemblies; recommended reading shelves in the library and colour coding the library books.

Below are some photos of us enjoying their library space. We really wanted to stay for longer!
