Lexia Core5 Reading is a computer-based literacy program designed to help students develop their reading skills. The program provides personalised instruction and practice in six key areas of reading: phonological awareness, phonics, structural analysis, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. 

Becontree uses Lexia to support students with SEND, have English as an additional language or who are significantly below the age-related reading standards (at least a year if not more below).

The software allows Ms. Gaughran to track students progress in real-time, providing reports for teachers and staff to monitor performance and support with 1:1 interventions related to one of the six areas of reading.
