Hooked on Books, Years 1-6

At Becontree, we recognise the importance of reading in our community and aim to support children to achieve highly at school and to become independent learners. This year, we wish to celebrate the children's efforts towards this with a newly-introduced reward system called 'Hooked on Books'. 

Each week, the teachers, from Years 1 to 6, will recognise an individual in their class who represents the behaviour of a reader.
