Potatoes!

The whole school has gone potato mad thanks to McCain and the Barking and Dagenham Catering service. Every class from Nursery to Year 6 has started growing potatoes this May.

 

It all started with six seed potatoes, two plant pots and a whole lot of compost for each class. Everyone is responsible for looking after their potatoes. There's even a competition to see who can grow the most and the heaviest potatoes! Once they are ready to harvest in September, they will be cooked up and served as part of school dinners.
