  • The White House's Spring Garden Party

    Fri 18 Mar 2022

    You're invited to...
the White House's Spring Garden Party - a day for everyone
Saturday 26th March, 2-6pm at the White House

We are getting ready for our first White House party of 2022 - the first in a long time! Come along and join us for this afternoon event.

This special event will serve as the launch of BeconTea, a new tea blend for the Becontree Estate. Over recent months, artist Sadia Ur-Rehman has been working with local residents - discussing their lives and memories in the local area, and designing a new tea and flavour to represent. With the help of our friends at Batch Tea, their new tea blend is available for all of us to enjoy together.

So come along and join us at this free event - we'll be serving BeconTea, alongside an afternoon tea spread of cakes, biscuits and more.

    The day will also feature

    • A drop-in workshop for children and young people, by local artist Tracy Tapscott
    • Live music, care of our friends at One Room
    • New work by the White House's very own Painting Group
    • ...and the unveiling of a new plaque by artist Elsa James, co-created with young people working with the White House and New Town Culture - permanently installed in the entrance to the White House!

With BeconTea served for free, alongside a spread of homemade cakes and biscuits, we'd love you to be there - bring your friends, family, children, and pets.
