Digital Leaders

Welcome to our Digital Leaders Page

Over the years, we have run a number of clubs with technology and computing at their heart. We started with Becontree TV and some of the programmes we made during that club can be seen below. The club then became Tech Crew and eventually evolved into Digital Leaders, which has been running for several years now.

Our Digital Leaders are a group of children who are committed to improving their computing skills and sharing what they know in lessons. They help out with IT jobs around the school.

These jobs include:

Charging and maintaining iPads

Charging and maintaining Laptops on trolleys

Charging and maintaining Chromebooks on trolleys

Wiping down mice, keyboards and screens of all computers and laptops

Tidying the Ada Lovelace suite and equipment:

Resetting monitors where needed

Checking and tidying Beebot mats and CoCo equipment.

Checking and filling printers

Checking and charging batteries

Tidying and charging cameras, Beebots and Probots

They meet regularly to discuss issues and set the jobs rota. They also receive regular training.
