Big Write week

During the last week of the first half term, Becontree hosted an author visit from Alan Durant. Alan writes children's books and talked to the children about his experiences of writing those books. Year 6 read his book called, 'Cinderella: the Fairy Tale Files', as a starting point for writing news reports or news leaflets. Below are some of the reports that were chosen to be part of a whole school writing display outside Mr. Peacock's office.  Other examples of the children's work have also been included in an ICT display located in the Curriculum suite. A photo of which can be found in our ICT section of the curriculum areas.
