Planting Trees
The Eco Committee planted some tree saplings on the perimeter of the KS1 playground facing the school car park as part of their commitment to helping improve the air quality around school. We chose this area because this was where the highest levels of pollution were recorded around the school from the results obtained in our air monitoring project. A total of 120 tree saplings were planted with the help of Mr Allen. The tree saplings were obtained free of charge from the Woodland Trust and we ordered Silver birch, Cherry and Rowan tree saplings. Now we just have to wait for the trees to grow and blossom.
