The Witches Workshop with the National Theatre
In preparation for a trip to see a musical production of Roald Dahl's The Witches at the National Theatre in January, year 5 took part in a workshop led by a member of the National Theatre at school.
They learnt a little about the characters (including the Grand High Witch, Luke and Grandma) and the setting of Hotel Magnificent. They explored their understanding of witches and how that differed from the witches in the story. They used drama techniques such as ensemble to develop their ability to perform as a group.
