Becontree's Everyone Reading Together (BERT) in KS2

If your child is in years 3 to 6 and still reading a coloured book band book, they may be part of a small group intervention during in-class reading sessions. 

The group will read an appropriate level book for the group as a whole. This gives children a chance to develop improved fluency by re-reading shorter books at the appropriate level, which will support them to comprehend what they are reading. Their level of understanding is assessed through the use of targeted questions by the adult supporting the group.
