Earth Hour 2024 took place on Saturday 23rd March where London was in total darkness at 8:30pm by having all non-essential lights switched off for 60 minutes to help care for the planet. The families of Becontree Primary School could join in too by switching off their lights at home for 1 hour at 8:30pm to show their support for Earth Hour.
Families were also encouraged to go one step further for Earth Hour 2024, and give 60 minutes of their time by doing something positive for the planet such as, planting a tree or plant, going litter picking, or cooking a sustainable meal at any time on Saturday 23rd March. Take a look at what the children and their families did on Earth Day.
