Litter Picking
Our Eco Councillors are committed to reducing litter and encouraging everyone to care for our environment. We organise regular litter picks both around the school and in the local community. Using litter-picking equipment, pupils safely collect rubbish to help keep our surroundings clean, safe and welcoming. The Eco Councillors collect litter during lunchtimes and playtimes to help keep the school grounds tidy.
To raise awareness, we designed posters and delivered class assemblies about the importance of reducing litter. These activities help pupils understand how litter can harm wildlife, damage the environment and create unnecessary waste.
By encouraging everyone to take responsibility for keeping our school tidy, we promote positive habits such as using bins correctly and taking pride in looking after our school grounds. Through these ongoing efforts, we continue to create a cleaner, safer environment for everyone while inspiring pupils to care for the world around them.
