Walk to School Week

After the success of last year's Walk to School Week the Eco Committee decided that they would like to hold it again this year. After a whole school assembly which explained the benefits of walking to school by helping to lower pollution levels and the positive health benefits walking has we held our Walk to School Week between Monday 9th October 2023 to Friday 13th October 2023. The classes with the highest total numbers of walkers for the week in Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 would win a class certificate and an extra playtime for their class.  

The winning classes were:

• RA in Reception
• 2D in KS1
• 5R in KS2

Overall, there were more children and families walking during the Walk to School Week which has helped lower the air pollution levels around school. Well done everyone!
