Ducklings

Thursday 26th March

We now have all 5 ducklings hatched and doing well!

Wednesday 25th March

This morning the children had the pleasure of watching our duck eggs hatch. They stood quietly whispering to one another, as the eggs hatched and were careful not speak loudly or touch the cage. They were mindful of how fragile the ducklings are. They waited patiently for all the eggs to hatch. They counted three eggs, and said, "There are two eggs left to hatch." Some of the children said, "They look just like chickens hatching."

"Three years ago, when I was in year 1, the chicken eggs were put in the same incubator as this one."
