• Big Dance at Becontree

  Friday morning saw Becontree Primary go dance crazy when the whole school took part in the 2013 Big Dance.
  
  Every pupil and member of staff was involved in the Zumba inspired dance to coincide with the Big Dance launch.
  
  The routine, which was choreographed by teachers, was practised throughout the school as part of PE lessons culminating in the 500+ pupils showing off their skills whilst every member of staff also took part.

• Girls' Football Team Fare Well at Festival

  The Year 5 & 6 Becontree Girls' football team produced a fantastic all round team performance at the latest Barking & Dagenham CVL event.

   

  The team won 4 of their 7 games including a 1-0 victory over current leaders Hunters Hall. A crushing 10-0 win over William Bellamy followed, with the goals coming from all 5 players.

   

  The girls, who were praised for their attitude and level of skill, have 1 more event to go with hopes of a top 3 finish well within their grasp.
