We have enjoyed reading traditional tales this year, with 'The Gingerbread Man' being one of our favourites. We worked together to add and mix ingredients to make a giant gingerbread man. But something terrible happened, he ran away!!! We made posters and searched the whole school for him but didn't find him. Then, when we least expected, Mrs Imrie came into our classroom and said she had found something in her handbag, it was our Gingerbread man. Miss Hoad quickly broke him into pieces so we could all eat him before he escaped again. He was yummy!

We had some very special guests... CHICKS! They arrived as fragile eggs and after a few weeks we were lucky enough to watch them hatch into tiny chicks. We held them very carefully when they were small and now the hens are bigger and stronger they have gone to live with the other school chickens in the KS1 playground. We love going to visit them still.

We enjoyed making bread as part of our learning about the Harvest Festival and The Little Red Hen. Once baked we tasted our bread with different toppings.
