  • Well done Indeya

    Fri 18 Nov 2011
Indeya Flora received special recognition today in assembly. She raised £101 with her family's support during our sponsored fitness day in support of our Olympic athletes. Rion Pierre, a GB sprinter, visited school recently and inspired the children to take part in sports. The school raised £760 and we got to keep £300. We have bought some new PE mats with our share of the money. Thanks to Indeya, class 1W won the trophy for the class collecting the most money. She is pictured holding the glass trophy along with her personal certificate.
  • Harvest Festival

    Fri 21 Oct 2011
On Friday 21st October we held our traditional Harvest Festival. We had a fantastic response as you can see from the photographs of all the goods. We filled about 50 boxes all of which had been decorated by the pupils. About 20 boxes went to local residents who has been nominated by the children and families at Becontree. The rest of the parcels were collected by a local charity who distribute them to individuals or families who are living with cancer and need some support. The boxes include a range of tins and packets but this year we had a brilliant range of fresh fruits and vegetables and also some home made bread. The display was decorated with hand made poses of fresh flowers prepared by our gardening club.
