Mrs Ziane is very excited to share with parents and carers of Becontree just who has been winning our weekly golden tickets for being respect superstars.
Take a look to see who our weekly winners have been so far.
This section will be updated on a weekly basis.
To take part, all you have to do is collect a sheet from the pocket on the display board and try your best to answer it.
Everyone who enters will receive a respect ticket.
FIVE lucky children will be selected to choose a prize from the respect ticket cabinet.
Good luck!
Today's World Book Day was another great success and both the children and staff had an exciting day of catwalks, photos and theatre performances. Everyone made a brilliant effort to dress up to celebrate the joy of reading; we especially enjoyed the home-made costumes and the creature mismatch. Thank you mums, dads and carers for helping us to make this a brilliant day for all the pupils at Becontree.
Check out the photos under the Whole School Gallery to see what happened on World Book Day 2017.
Recently, the school received an email from a member of the Heritage team who cover St. Margaret's and Barking Abbey who said this of our year 6, who had recently visited the church and ruins of the Abbey:
May I just conclude by commending the children that visited us on their impeccable behaviour, and hard work, a real credit to their school.
We completely agree!
Congratulations to Jadon and Qudus of 6H, who have made it through to the second round of selections for the Boys' District team. If they make it through the rounds, they will have the opportunity to play in the borough's team as part of the Barking and Dagenham Primary Schools' Football Asssociation.
Good luck boys!
